How to Qualify
If you are an accepted student and enrolled in an undergraduate taking at least six credits in each full 14 week semester (or combined in each two 7-week terms in each full semester), you may be eligible for federal financial aid. If you are an accepted student and enrolled in a graduate taking at least five credits in each full 14 week semester (or combined in each two 7-week terms in each full semester), you may be eligible for federal financial aid. Your options may include loans, endowed scholarships and other alternative financing programs. Our Office of Financial Aid can simplify the process and help you decide on the best financing plan to meet your needs.
To be considered for financial aid, you must:
- Be accepted and matriculated in a degree-granting program at a minimum of half-time status (at least 6 credits per semester for undergraduate and 5 credits per semester for graduate)
- Have U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
How to Apply
To apply for financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can file the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. To have your information forwarded to Rivier University, include our Title IV code (002586) on your FAFSA.
