Rivier University was established in 1933 and is named in honor of Blessed Anne Marie Rivier, foundress of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. Initially named Rivier College, the campus moved from Hudson to Nashua, New Hampshire in 1941 and the institution officially became Rivier University on July 1, 2012 and offers online and on-campus programs from the associate to doctoral levels.
